You should get a check but not for a while the school should have you on record as being ok you should call up there and ask them if you can go ahead and get your books. You have to attend class for a certain percentage of the year before you will get your first check it’s usually around mid-september.

I’d be a little worried too if I were you. You should’ve at least received some kind of letter. You might want to go down to the financial aid office and make sure. Is that what you did or did you just talk to someone on the phone? If you are getting any money back you will get a check on the first day of school. Usually the university will have a room set up for everything financial aid related on the first day. Thats where I always got mine. Good luck.

unless you were given a full ride, then you should make an appointment and meet with your financial aid counselor in person to find out exactly what you were awarded

in order for financial aid to work, you need to accept the awards that they give you. they are not automatically accepted for you. you should probably ask your parents if they did that for you, but I wouldn’t know how they would have been able to do it because its your account and not even colleges will give that priveledge to parents.

you need to do this just in case you have to take out any loans, becuase if you do need to and you don’t know about, then you will be paying for college out of your own pocket…and thats not a very nice feeling

you won’t receive a check or anything telling you that school is paid off. tell them that you expected to see a report online or at least one that was mailed to you.

do it soon, and good luck!

When I worked for the Financial Aid department at a state school, there was sometrhing called a cancellation waiver which was applied to your account to show that although you have been awarded finaicial aid, it has not arrived yet. This kept students from having the registration ccancelled. Check and see if your school doesn’t have a similar back-up plan

usually your university bookstore will have a speical line to get your books if you are under any financial aid…and i wouldn’t worry about it, sometimes they are slow just watch out for when you balance is due and then start freaking out

as long as you have no longer have been given any convictions then you definately’re ok, they only ask approximately convictions, no longer warrants. however the financial help would be ineffective in case you do no longer artwork out those warrants. it’s going to suck being taken out of sophistication in handcuffs.
