You can get Pell grants and Stafford loans through FAFSA. The Pell does not have to be repaid, it is income contingent. The Stafford loans, there are 2 types; unsubsidized and subsidized, those are repaid starting 6 months AFTER you graduate or leave school. You will accrue interest on the loans while you are in school, but you don’t have to start paying them back until you graduate. You can get a personal loan from places like chase student loans or from Sallie Mae of even from Astrive student loans.

No idea about the cosmetology point but I can tell you about the Navy point. Navy provides a basis for a jump start on education in some cases. It also allows for the process of providing for education after you have served in the military. The Navy provides housing, food, steady pay, medical, dental, and such. If you get into the right rating (job) you can work in the ‘cosmetology’ field. Granted its not as glamorous and you can’t have your hair died all different sorts of colors or have crazy hair styles but it does give a basis from cosmetology. The Navy also offers a chance to experience new experiences, try new things, see new cultures. Best of luck. If you join the Navy it may be tough but it won’t be the end of the world. Its well worth it. Besides, benefits like the VA and MGiBill after you get out are awesome! P.S. the chances of dying are very very very low. Don’t let people fool you about the armed forces. You are pretty much safer in the military than you are walking through Washington D.C. right now. EDIT: There are some aspects of services that are still male oriented but they have come a long way and amazingly enough some women out preform men in their jobs. There are just some things that are off limits to females such as SEALS, and special forces. But women are treated with respect and are expect to pull their weight if they are to get anywhere in the Navy! Its hard work but if you work hard you get to play equally as hard, and while it may not be a romantic notion it is a very good idea to take a career advantage like the Navy.
