Students who are looking for a bad credit student loan should pick three schools they are most interested in, talk to the admissions office, and ask what is needed to apply in their school.A bad creditdepending on whether you are a homeowner or not. The rate of interest to be paid on unsecured bad credit student loans is higher than that on secured bad credit student loans. This is because the secured bad credit student loans are backed by your home as a security.

Im in the same situation. You OBVIOUSLY already have done your FAFSA and you have a stafford loan. BUT you NEED MORE MONEY to cover the rest of your expenses. Im going to be honest and says that no, no bank is going to give anyone a loan with bad credit. Having bad credits tells banks that you are more than likely not going to pay back their money so you are a high risk to them. You MIGHT and I say Might be able to get a loan from http://www.myrichuncle.com. My credit history isnt much and they approved me for a loan the only bad thing is their interest rate its about 9% or higher.

Government student loans have little to do with your credit, and all of them are paid off after you graduate.

Fill out a Federal Student Aid form at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ You have to do this for any/all federal loans. This helps them figure out how much to give you. You’ll need your financial information (and your parents, if you’re under 25 I think) such as tax returns, bank accounts, etc.

www.finaid.org can also give you good information.

Check into a Pell Grant which doesn’t have to be paid back. You get a monthly check & can do as you wish with it. Also, check into a student loan, that has to be paid back once you get a job.
