Am I eligible for a federal pell grant with an EFC of 22000??
Favorite Answer
But – depending on the school, you can still get an aid package. Our EFC is 21933 and we got these three offers for the schools my son got into:
school (1) – cost of attendance (room/board/tuition,etc) about $17,000/year – all they offered was an unsubsidized student loan of $3,500.
school (2) – cost of attendance – about $33,000/year –
** a subsidized stafford loan of $3,500
** a school grant of $6,400
** workstudy of $1,100.
school (3) – cost of attendance – $49,000/year –
** a subsidized stafford loan of $3,500
** a Perkins loan of $5,000
** a school grant of $10,000
** workstudy of $2,500
In a nutshell – depends on how much money the school has to give and how much more your school costs than your EFC…generally – they expect you to pay your EFC.
