BC ppl are afraid to “step on others toes” even thought the definition if a ni**** is an ignorant person, which pretty much defines eveybody who talks about things that they dont know anything about, and pretend to be an “expert” on w/e they are talking about..it gets to me bc i am white and i’ll lip sync liric and lip the word and black ppl r lie, OMG its whote girl and she’s racist…Well that BS, i am not racist, my best friends aren’t white, and they r the ones i trust my life with…so it a social double standard. Like a girl can have sex with mutiple ppl a week, and no only be good, but love it and everyone calls her a whore. (OR better yet, she can sleep with her boyfriend and accidentally get pregnant the 1st time, and she is called a whore, or a slut, w/e..) where as a guy can do alot of girls everyday, everyweek, and hes the man..c’mon it rediculous, but its what society dictates…so to anwer you “why ppl should…” is that it is because of what society says id acceptable, and isn’t…sorry if i have dragged on, or hurt anyone feelings…hope this has helped a little

Oh, and dont bother trying to look it up, the dictionary says its is what “colored people have been called” since like the 1700-1800’s…i hate things like that, u cannot explain it without sounding like a racist…i really H*** that too..or at least thats about how it is put on the web dictinaries (i lost my paper on in a move) so it may be diferent if its an actual paper dictionary…I AM NOT A RACIST NO MATTER WHAT, and i am extraordianrily sorry if i sound likie i am…

Maybe if you said in advance of your speech that it was not politically correct, no one would take offense. I would think that is appropriate, though you may run it by your teacher first.

People don’t call others (especially blacks) ni*ga because it offends them, like calling a Native American woman a “squaw,” or a woman “chattel.” Or the many other names sometimes hurled from the foundation of racism or sexism.

The people in some of the groups and races call each other the names otherwise considered a slur, but they will tell you that it’s their right to use it as they please, and they’d be right.

That’s all I know about that.

Well, everyone hit it with the offensive part, however, the origins of the word come from slavery, and the atrocities associated with it. Black people do sometimes call each other that, and it is different if a white person calls them that because the white person is the historical oppressor who used it not so long ago. The word in itself means “dog”, it’s distasteful to insult a group of individuals of any background, but especially when it is attached to a violent and brutal past.

In the days of Slavery, it was meant to demoralize the black slaves and make them afraid of their owners and keep them in-line and quietly obedient. Even though that was so long ago in our History, the conotation of the word still hurts the Black community today and shows a deep lasting disrespect for them as free people.

Because it’s offensive, and that word reminds me of ignorance, humiliation and pain, and I hate when some people use that word freely as if there’s nothing negative associated with that word. As far as people stating that only black people can call other black people a *****, that’s not correct. I’m black and I do not call anyone that word under any circumstances, and I do not want anyone calling me that.

The ‘N’ word used to be used for black slaves, so I really don’t understand why black people are allowed to call eachother slaves but yeah :/ You never see black people calling relations of theirs *****s it just shows you that they use it for people they have little respect for, or just use it out of pure ignorance. It’s like announcing ‘the Nazi’s are coming’ in Poland. It should be unacceptable no matter who says it, it just brings back bad historical moments.

To me, that word is more offensive than any other I can think of. While I am not thrilled when someone swears around me–the only word that will make me react is that one because it broadcasts the insensitivity/ignorance of the person saying it (no matter what race is saying it!!).

****** deserve to be called ****** because they are a drain on society and spend their lives in the ghetto hoping to become professional sports players, rappers, or big-time drug dealers.

however, black people are an excellent resource of modern society and should be rewarded and praised for being upstanding, responsible members of society by treating them the exact same way you treat whites, asians, hispanic people, or any other person who does meaningful, helpful acts for the public good.

black people = good.

****** = bad

it could offend somebody and that would be wrong.

you wouldnt want to be referred to as the ugly girl or the fat one or the stupid one. it is name calling and no matter the name it is mean rude and wrong.

i dont think anybody should use them!
