to imply means to hint
so if it’s implied power, then it’s like a threat. you’re not SAYING you’re more powerful, but you’re suggesting it, like for example:
Bob: “i’m stronger than you”
^you’re not saying you’re going to beat someone up, but it’s a possibility

implied power means that the person has certain authority, which is not necessarily written into law or documented. For example the office of the President includes a lot of implied powers not listed in the constitution.

Constitutionally speaking, it’s a reserved power that is not directly stated in the constitution, but implied instead. Usually reserved for the judicial branch, it gives the Supreme Court the right to rule in certain cases and therefore change the laws. In this case, the Supreme Court doesn’t have the actualy power to make laws (that’s the legislative branch’s job), but by ruling in cases, they indirectly make laws through the implied power.

if you act like you have the power, it doesn’t matter whether or not you actually have the power. people will respond to the fear of you having that power.
perfect example-
on some of the busiest intersections, cars used to run through red lights all the time until they installed traffic cameras and issuing $150+ tickets for running the red light. now no one runs the light. funny thing is that the camera hasn’t been working for a few months now. but no one wants to risk the $150 ticket. implied power

It just means that possibly some authority is being suggested I supposed !?! But not directly!! Because when you break the word down: it means that a sort of PRESSURE/ing is being suggested!! ? !! just not directly !!Sort of like that certain someone on a job that does’nt have the status theywish they had !! But just act like maybe a manager or even the boss just to get things done & not have to waste time !?!

It’s similar to knowing that your boss has more “power” than you do. It’s a social thing.
