Which word possibly means “upper side of belt”?

I am seeking a word which possibly means “upper side of belt”.

Example of the belt: leather belt…etc which you wear around a waist.

upper side which faces sky, or which you see while you wear the belt.

Thank you!

I agree entirely with cloud 43, but would like to add that because you asked about the upper side of the belt, you may mean exactly that. Perhaps you are folllowing instructions for punching a further hole in it or something. If that is the situation, then upper could mean the upper edge (facing the sky) or the outer side of the belt.

If you look at the belt, the side which touches your body is the ‘inside’, while the other side is the ‘outside’. If you were to reverse the belt, you would be wearing it ‘inside-out’. Perhaps you could call the outer side the ‘face’, & the other the ‘back’. The ‘back’ would be what you can’t see.

I don’t really think there is a particular name for it.

Do you mean “front” (outside) of the belt as opposed to the “back” (inside) of the belt?

I would call it the ‘back’ of the belt and the part that faces into your body the ‘belly’

i might accept as true with each physique else and say lining, or “coated garment”, if it have been coated (i.e., there grew to become right into a various layer of fabric in the coat or jacket protecting the seams and becoming a sophisticated look). this will additionally prepare to slacks, attire and skirts. otherwise, it would be an unlined garment. in case you have been touching on a t-blouse, denims, some thing casual, i might merely say “interior,” like “The tag interior my blouse itches!” desire that helps.
