Eros And Agape

Eros Love – physical passion, its gratification and fulfillment.

Agape Love – agape love is God’s kind of love. It is seeking the welfare and betterment of another regardless of how we feel. Agape does not have the primary meaning of feelings or affection.

Eros is characterized by physical love and passion. Eros is the Greek god of love, but you may be more familiar with the Roman name-Cupid. Agape is love that is spiritual not sexual, it is a Christian or ‘brotherly love.’

Eros – it s about jealousy, wanting each other just to yourself, it s all about sexual oriented, it sometimes selfish, it s aggressive, it s all about lust, and about physical.
Agape – it s about sacriface, wanting your loved once to be happy even without you in it, you don t want anything from them, you just love them and that s all to it, and you can really be happy if they re happy. You will want to do anything for them just to make them happy. it is God s love. you don t care how much you hurt, as long as they re happy, you don t ask for payback, all you wanna do is to give your love, whether they re gonna accept it or not. It is a sincere love.

eros is passionate, carnal love and agape is self-sacrificing, heart-based love.

Agape has to do with the love of man for God. It has nothing to do with brotherly love, that is philia.
