And I agree that it probably means a person who pays attention at school, does the homework, likes to learn, etc. I have heard that nerds are considered to be fairly cool these days, and perhaps geek are still geeks, meaning pretty weird… so a neek may be a person who has yet to be pigeon-holed in either category.

Actually to me all these categories simply show the poor effects of peer pressure, teens trying to make everyone behave the way they do. I never did fit any mold but was pitcher for baseball and ran like the wind… and got good grades, too… hard to stick in some old pigeon-hole. Dratted things!
