A verb is a word that represents an action. e.g. Walk, talk, sit, stand, go, throw, and even “know” and even “be”.
A noun is a name. A “proper noun” is Jody, Jane, James , Jennifer,and St Paul’s Cathedral. Somebody or something you can point at and say “That is ….” A plain old noun is what you call something that has no distinction: A chair, table, computer, taxi…whatever.
An adjective is a word that describes somebody or something. Blue, heavy, pretty, smart, red, fast, slow….whatever.
