What is a juve?
The dictionary says it’s a juvenile lead, but I don’t understand this definition.

It’s a colloquial abbreviation.
It refers to the juvenile lead in a show/opera, etc.; the juve is the leading young man.
Example from “Variety” April, 1935: “Jones is a good-looking juve and possesses a corking tenor.”
