What does this sentence mean?
Tom actually feels that Kevin was pretending to be him, Tom.
But I think that’s for Tom and Kevin to work out between them.
“I think that’s for Tom and Kevin to work out between them” means “I” think Kevin in disguise is a combination of himself and Tom?

As I understand your theory, you think that Kevin is a split personality, and the two sides of his personality need to work it out between them (i.e. with each half of Kevin’s personality). Am I anywhere near what you were thinking?
My understanding is more literal, Tom and Kevin need to work it out with each other.
