What does the phrase “cross the t’s, dot the i’s” means??
I am a non native speaker..I have heard some phrases like that and i really have no clue what it means…?

It basically means putting all the last finishing touches on something, making sure it is complete and perfect.
When writing something by hand, someone in a hurry may forget to to actually cross the t’s and dot the i’s on the page. If it were to be submitted for something formal or important, the person would go back over the page and make sure they were all there.

It means “pay attention to the details, no matter how small.” The cross left off the t is a small detail, but leaving it off could really confuse the reader because the letter could be mistaken for an undotted i.
