what does the phrase any who mean??
Favorite Answer
to me, it’s almost a term of “dismissal”, such as you might use the word “whatever” to dismiss a thought or something you said.
Example:
“Soooo, whatever….guess it’s time for me to get ready to go.”
or
“Anyway…guess it’s time for me to get ready to go.”
or
“Anyhoo….guess it’s time for me to get ready to go.”
But, the way I use it and have seen it used more often than not is spelled “anyhoo”. When used in speech, it’s pronounced almost like you would utter a “sigh”….
“Anyhoo….that’s the way I’ve always used it so, I guess that’s about all I have to say about that word.”
ADD:
I just came across this additional explaination of the word “anyhoo”.
