They mean Public Broadcasting Station – one of the best things about television, because it provides space for programs that are not peppered with commercials and are not aimed strictly at the ratings. Mr. Rogers Neighborhood (too bad Mr. Rogers isn’t still doing that show) Clifford etc. would never survive on regular TV because they don’t have the commercial appeal that the sponsors are looking for. But kids love them, and parents do too, because they know the content of these shows is a) educational b) kid friendly and c) interesting.
