what does it mean when one says ” we have selected one person other than you” is it selected/rejected ?
some says it means they have selected one person other than the one in question and some others not selected or rejected

Rejected – I would say it’s just a nicer way of saying it

it’s saying that they rejected you in the nicer way because they found someone more suitable, other than you, for the job

they have made their choice and it isn’t you… do not dwell on this … move on……don’t get caught up in the rejection, it happens many times before you get what you want… push on and find something else…it is nothing personal, just their choice…….
