I find wisdom in your acronym, given the casual way our culture uses the word “love.” Many young people are drawn into an instant intimacy that leaves them emotionally injured, something they may regret for many years.
However, you may want to think about four kinds of love described by C. S. Lewis.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Four_Loves
You won’t be hurt by love as charity (agapÄ, αγαÏη)–an unconditional love directed towards one’s neighbor which is not dependent on any lovable qualities that the object of love possesses. Agape is the love that brings forth caring regardless of circumstance. Lewis recognizes this as the greatest of loves, and sees it as a specifically Christian virtue.
Cheers,
Bruce

I think it’s sad but sound. It is true that most kinds of loving make us vulnerable to being hurt. We can prevent that by refusing to care for, or trust, anyone else, but that emptiness is just death above ground.
Bruce speaks with wisdom.
