Real estate agents, builders, bricklayers, plumbers, auto repair, electricians – all do well – esp in a good economy. Car salesmen can also make a lot of money if they have the personality to match.

trade unions, you dont start at 20 bucks an hour, generally you start at 50% of whatever their full scale is. you can make good money doing whatever trade you wanna do, be it pipefitter, millwright, sprinklerfitter, electrician, 49er. check em out. they have apprenticeships, you get paid while you learn. if you want to work the hours, you can make six figures after you get to full scale.
