Oooo… What fun! Can I write a little poem instead?

If I Fell from the highest mountaintop

Would you be there to break my fall?

Or would my Icy Blue Heart

Shatter into a million pieces?

I Had My Heart Set On You,

But where will you be In My Hour Of Darkness?

The answer was there all along.

I’ve Just Seen a Face that you never showed me.

So In Spite of All The Danger,

I’ll leave my safety net at home.

I think I just pushed myself into a mild depression. This ‘story’ is not about me, nor anyone I know. This is just how the words came to me.

Dear Love,

I’ve just seen a face. She reminded me of you. Still, to this day, I can’t believe what a fool I was.

The last words you uttered my way still bite at me today. “Why? You knew that I had my heart set on you! I never should have trusted you. In spite of all the danger of getting my heart broken again, I trusted you. You told me that if I fell, you would always be there to catch me. You Lied! I hate you! I never want to see you again!”

And that was the last I saw of you. I never got a chance to apologize, to tell you I’m sorry for hurting you; if that even matters. In my hour of darkness, I was weak, and for that I will be eternally sorrowful. My icy blue heart longs to be loved again. Loved the way that you loved me. Please forgive me.

Me.

I had to give the hobo in the last exercise a story. So, here it is.

“Lord? IF I FELL or faltered IN MY HOUR OF DARKNESS you were always there to catch me and set me back on the path of truth and mercy even though I may not have given you the credit at the time.”

“IN SPITE OF ALL THE DANGER in that long ago and far away jungle and The Purple Heart I earned for bravery, I now tremble in your presence. For I’VE JUST SEEN A FACE, your face, Lord, in all it’s wondrous glory. You have melted my ICY BLUE HEART and refilled it with love for my fellow mankind.”

I HAD MY HEART SET ON YOU, oh, so many years ago but I was thrown from my chosen course by a war I could not understand. But Now, in my useless wandering old age, I am back, Lord. In Jesus name I pray you welcome me back to the fold. Amen

*sad, sappy tale of the broken-heart, in the letter of ” I ” ……. *

(LINE) I HAD MY HEART SET ON YOU, (LINE) IN SPITE OF ALL THE DANGER. (LINE) I’VE JUST SEEN A FACE in your

(LINE) ICY BLUE HEART. To my dismay, it was my own reflection; staring back with animosity at the futility of love. (Life is no more then meaningless and love the greatest mystery). (LINE) IF I FELL (LINE) IN MY HOUR OF DARKNESS, would you be there with me to pick up all the broken pieces?
