There’s an ad for a car dealership that says “Your Approved”- Please tell me you know what’s wrong with that!

‘your’ is possessive and signifies the presence of an object after ‘approved,’ such as “your approved loan,” for instance.

‘you’re’ is a contraction of ‘you are’ and clearly what they meant to write. It is a big deal when people can’t spell at all.

Depends in what context. If it is supposed to be short for “You are approved” (as in finance) then it should be “You’re”. If on the other hand it is in the context of “Your approved local Ford dealer” then it is correct as it stands.

It is all about context.

Yes, I know what’s wrong with it. Newspapers are sometimes notorious for their grammatical errors.

“You’re approved!”
