Should any call for a Holy War be rejected?

What do you think? Would you reject it?

“The majority of Muslims throughout the world will reject Osama bin Laden’s call to join in a holy war against the United States and its allies, Bay Area followers of Islam predicted Sunday.

“Osama bin Laden has absolutely no legitimacy whatsoever in the Islamic world, so he’s talking to the wind as far as I’m concerned,” said Maha Elgenaidi, director of the Islamic Network Group in San Jose.

Shahed Amanullah, an Oakland resident and member of American Muslims Intent on Learning and Activism, agreed.

“I’m confident that is going to land on deaf ears,” he said. “Bin Laden is happy with what happened in New York. That alone is enough to put him outside the Muslim community of the world.

“He’s just very obviously trying to paint this as a war against Islam — as if Islam is personified by him,” Amanullah added. “He’s going to see a very silent reaction from the Muslim world.””

Yes, it should. Wars always result in the suffering and deaths of innocent people, who did not deserve to suffer.

I am comforted to know that most Muslims are aware that Osama bin Laden is not their friend.

Peace.

Edit: Yes, I would reject a call to war, unless it was in direct defense of my country. I do not consider “pre-emptive attacks” to be self-defense. The war on Iraq is WRONG.

By the Using of Laws all perish, perish the suggestion Law: is well, however each well and evil ends badly Law: is simply, however may be an unjust pass judgement on is vengeful Law: is holy, however it is also indexed amongst unholy matters Law: is traditional, however it is also traditional crisis Law: is non secular, however then it is non secular abuse So Law is the main issue, now not the answer Is-lamb is much more terrible lawful than Juda-ism used to be, for an ‘arnion’ lamb in Revelation each bites and smites Jews had been a little one of hell, Isalm is extra the little one of hell. Moses’ legislation used to be a holy “terror” to all Israel of Judah/Israel Point: till we placed away Law, we’re going to have Law worketh Wrath; And there’s neither Peace nor safeguard in Law worketh Wrath

War today is not Holy. In regards to Muslims their history is neck deep in the blood of those they have murders, including their own people. The sad fact of it all is the Christian and the Muslim are step brothers, by the same father Abraham. Much like Cain and Able except Muslims are more in tune with Cain than Able based on their own history.

There is no such thing as a “holy” war. Every war ends up with atrocities by all sides and must be repugnant to any supreme being.

Following such a call is for sheep.

Human Beings are able to think for themselves and make their own decisions.

Only sheep follow calls.

To me, no war is holy. The only thing that is holy is peace.
