The sentence:

I am coming from the side of Mr. X to see Mr. Y.

The situation:

The phrase to address to a receptionist. Previously discuss with Mr. X that recommend to see/speak with Mr. Y

I’m not sure a single sentence is the clearest way to say it. What about the following?

I’m here to see Mr. Y; Mr. X sent me.

Mr. X recommends that I speak to Mr. Y. Is Mr. Y available?

May I speak to Mr. Y please? Mr. X sent me.

Mr. X just asked me to come see Mr. Y. Is he in?
