Someone you will never forget is considered a first love, or a person who you met by chance that strongly impacted or influenced your life. Someone who has left you early in your life but greatly touched you in some way……………Those that you remember for the rest of your life? Your parents, siblings, children, best friends, or even cherished family pet……….

If you want to take “never” literally, you’ll remember whatever it is for all eternity (without end).
While rest of your life means the memory ends at death (has an ending).
There lies the difference.

It seems to me that someone you will never forget is someone you CAN’T forget, but want to….
and someone you will remember for the rest of your life is someone you couldn’t forget, even if you wanted to.

There’s no difference. Obviously, if you’re going to remember someone for the rest of your life, you’re not going to forget them – are you?
