Is this sentence grammatically correct?

The sentence is,

How did you manage to get him in here and onto the bed?

“here” is an adverb, so how can an adverb follow a preposition?

Nouns are people, places or things. In that sentence, here is a place, and thus a noun, so the sentence is grammatically correct.
