Which is the correct one, does a three-piece suit and a dress conform?

conformity. it has nothing to do with the specific attire, it’s more that everyone is doing the same thing. so each individual is conforming to what everyone else does.

If it were nonconformity you would expect to see them wearing something wildly unusual, or perhaps everyone following their own, and different styles.

The sentence should start with ‘when’, not ‘if’. ‘Either’ and ‘in’ are transposed…it should read “…everyone is in either…”. As far as the conformity variable…that’s subjective and abstract. ‘Conformity’ cannot be easily defined, nor can ‘nonconformity’.
