Neither. Its possesive. Man’s is showing ownership over something. For Example:

This is that man’s house.

Singular Form for the noun man: Man.

Plural Form: Men.

It is singular posessive. Even if you use it as “man’s best friend” (an answerer above), it’s NOT plural – it’s a collective singular posessive noun, which is NOT a plural.

it’s singular

plural is men. if the men possess it(eg, they men’s bathroom) then it’s still plural

if it’s man’s, then it’s the same, but it’s still singular (that man’s jacket)

yeah, so basically mAn is singular and mEn is plural, even with ” ‘s “

singular with ownership.

Or wait…Maybe it’s not. Like; “Man’s bast friend.” That’s plural. Or, “Man’s plight with nature.” Plural. I think it’s a trick question.

singular posessive.

That’s the man’s shirt.

The plural of “man” is “men”.

“man’s” in this case is singular. It shows ownership. Like, if I say “the man’s head” it shows that it is his head.

A plural of man/man’s is men.

You can also say “the man’s there” which means “the man is there” in which case “man’s” is a conjunction of “man is”

Man’s can never be used as a plural word, it is grammatically incorrect.

singular possessive as in– It is the man’s hat. Plural possessive would be men’s, as in –These are the men’s hats.
