Is the word Gallows plural or singular….?
I built gallows (3 nooses made of string on a popsicle stick made structure) for school, but I dont know how to say it is it :
1. I built a Gallows for my project
2. I built a Gallow for my project
3. I built these gallows
which is it im so confused please help?

It’s singular. You’re referring to one object. I built a Gallows for my project is correct.

Gallows is both singular and plural, for the plural you may also use gallowses, but I believe that’s overkill, haha!

it is singular.. a gallows is build from two upright posts with a crossmember connecting them.. the posts are called gallows trees..
