I’m studying Shakespeare in school, but even my teacher and her giant dictionary can’t figure out WHITTOLLY.

Anybody knows what it means?

This is a definition from:

The William Shakespeare Dictionary.

WITTOL –

So WITTOLLY would mean to have the appearance of a contented cuckold.

cuckold

noun

1. a man whose wife committed adultery

verb

1. be sexually unfaithful to one’s partner in marriage; “She cheats on her husband”; “Might her husband be wandering?” [syn: cheat on]
