– (25 x 19 – 6)

= – (475 – 6)

= – 469 ANSWER

——————————————-

MULTIPLICATION is the first order of operation. Do the multiplcation or division before you add or subtract except when parentheses alter the order; then you do what’s in the parentheses first.

If you decide to DISTRIBUTE the minus sign into the parenthesis first you only need one for the first term since the 25 and 19 are multiplied and then the – 6 will become + 6.

-(25 x 19 – 6)

= -(25 x 19) + 6

= – 475 + 6

= – 469 You get the same ANSWER

481. First because there are parathases we take into account the negative. That makes 25 and 19 negative. -25*-19=475. It is positive because two negative numbers equals a positive number when multiplied. because we have a -6 it is changed to 6 because of the – outside the parathases. So we add 6 to 475 and get 481.

First, multiply. Then subtract. Then take the opposite of the answer.
