How can I word this?

I’m making a memo/flier for an appreciation lunch for some student workers. They won’t all be leaving on the same day, but their “last days” will start on Aug 14 and end on Aug 25. How should I word that?

Please join us for a farewell luncheon and express your appreciation for our departing student workers. The luncheon will be held (insert date here) at (insert time here).

End with some upbeat office-y message like “See you there!”

I always like to put the request (please join us) toward the beginning of an announcement, as it grabs attention, and feels a bit like a formal invitation.

When the student workers are leaving, or that they’re leaving on different days, isn’t something you need to put on the flier—mention it at the luncheon in your welcome speech, if you like. Keep the announcement simple and direct.
