For ten points, can you write a poem to order?

I’d like a poem of, say, no more than twenty lines, but let’s make it to order shall we? Your poem should include each of the following:

1- The name of any national park

2- A type of tree

3- A famous musician

4- An automobile make and model

For bonus consideration, fill one line of the poem with as much alliteration as possible…not necessary though…Good luck!!

Most creative gets 10 points!

Snow slowly settles, silky sheets of silence

Yosemite is in its winter finery.

Hanging from Half Dome

Scattered about the redwoods

Blanketing the trails

You will see no Lexus prowling about,

Just the crunch of animal and bird

In search of food and warmth.

Is this what Paul Simon meant

About the Sounds of Silence?

Goin’ Bach to Biscayne Bay

Big Bend’s just too far away

Carlsbad Caverns campground’s clay

Yellowstone? Some other day.

Revin’ up the Ford Fairlane

Never would I take a plane

Top down even in the rain

travelers thinkin’ I’m insane

Biscayn Bay, I’ll be there soon

Palm Trees by tomorrow, noon

sittin’ by the blue lagoon,

whistlin’ a happy tune

I once stayed

In the Everglade

The wildlife once calling

The trees now falling

Cedar trees?

Yes, I see the trees! (alliteration)

Music from The Byrds

Whistling their own words

But not for long

Will we hear their song

Forests destoyed

Replaced by a void

The only survivors

Stumps and posts

The long lost echoes

Of the Silver Ghosts

I call this one: OUR FAMILY VACATION

Known only to a small population

Arizona has more than the Grand Canyon

Take an ’81 Chevy Rambler RV

An annoying Ann Murray CD

To Organ Pipe Cactus; you’re bound to have fun
