if YOU are the last subject in the sentence, it should be “my friends and me.”

if it’s in the middle of the sentence, it’s “my friends and i.”

the best way to remember if you’re using “me” or “i” is to remove the other subjects.

say… “the prize was delivered to….

*my friends and me.

(or if you take out “my friends”)

*me.

You would never say “The prize was delivered to I.”

Just try it without the other subjects. too many people use I when it should be me, and you want to sound smarter than that. 🙂

Use ‘my friends and me’ at the end of the sentence if it comes after the verb. You should never put yourself before others in grammar. You would say ‘My friends and I’ at the beginning of the sentence before the verb.

Eliminate the “my friends” part and see if the sentence still sounds right. If it does, you’ve got it right.

For example, if you wrote, “It belonged to my friends and me.” The sentence would still look right with just, “It belonged to me.” So you’ve got it right. On the other hand, if you wrote, “Me and my friends went to the mall.” It wouldn’t sound right if you wrote it, “Me went to the mall.”

That’s the way I always do it, anyway.

You would not say,” my mom gave a party for I”, would you?No, you would say,” my mom gave a party for me”. You would say,”my mom gave a party for my friends”. Knowing this, you would gather that the true form you seek is,”my mom gave a party for my friends and me”.

This is true even if it is used in an adjective phrase modifying the word separation.

Both could be correct and probably will be correct. Which one you use depends on the rest of the sentence and how it keeps with the feeling of the other words therein.

We say: “my friends and I” to show a little respect (politely) to friends or other in English if it is used as a subject.

In case it is used as an object,”my friends and me” is the right one.

It depends on how “my friends and me” or “my friends and I” is being used. The location in the sentence doesn’t really matter. If used in the subject case (subject, appositive, or predicate noun), you use “my friends and I.” If used in the object case (direct object, indirect object, or object of preposition), you use “my friends and me.”

“My friends and I” would be the correct English, even at the end of a sentance.
