Since the first one “fall” come from Old English, not Latin, I’m not going to go through all the other words just to find the Latin root of the few that I suspect I will find.

Sorry kiddo.

lol i would love to do the work for you but instead i will give you the tools needed to complete your task try searching for all the words on www.babelfish.com it helps you translate things into many different languages. Not a hundred percent sure this will help but give it a go. But i also think you are looking for the latin roots to these english words anyway good luck. Hope this helps 🙂

Are you sure you aren’t trying to answer a trick question? For example, the Latin root for “good” is “bene” as in benefit, and the Latin root for “bad” is “mal” as in malicious.

I suspect that many of these words have roots deriving from some source other than Latin. Good luck.

I’ve put them in alphabetical order for ease of looking up. L. means Latin

assault < assultus < assilire (to jump at) audience -- Lat. audire (to hear) bad -- not L. conceive < L. concipere (to take in) departure < French departir < L. pars/partus (part) fall -- not L. flourish -- L. florere (to flower) good -- not L. inform -- L. informare (to shape) intelligence -- L. intelligere (to understand) major -- L. maior (bigger) marriage -- L. maritus (married) message -- L. missus (sent) prediction -- L. praedicere (foretell) scientist -- L: scientia (knowledge) sing -- not L. victim -- L. victima (sacrificial animal) work -- not L.

fall (exire)

assault (assaltus)

flourish (flos)

victim (victima)

marriage (unitus)

bad (spoliare)

work (operatus)

sing (cantare)

inform (informare)

message (missus)

departure (partire)

good (fertilis)

major (magnus)

concieve (concipere)

scientist (scientia)

audience (audire)

intelligence (intelligens)

predictions (praedicere)
