Does saying the word “bajeezus” go against the Ten Commandments?
I like the word.
The last time I used it in a sentence was when I said, “Carrie Underwood’s song ‘Before He Cheats’ scares the bajeezus out of me!”

Not unless one of the commandments says “Thou shalt not use quaint epithets.” And I always spelled it “bejeezus”.

I think words like ‘bajeezus’, ‘jesus h’, ‘jumpin’ jehosaphat’, etc all stemmed from people seeking the satisfaction of a good exclamation or swear word without taking the lord’s name so directly in vain… so by definition, a word like bajeezus is designed to not be going against the ten commandments…
but then, i’m not the ultimate arbiter… 😉

In actuality, snoopy is right! You can use any word to substitute as a curse word. It just depends on what context you are using it in. In your case, bajeezus is your substitution word.
