Do you put a comma after the word “additionally”?

As in… “Additionally, he complains of problems with his legs.”

Yes, put a comma there, but it makes for an awkward sentence. “Additionally” is an adverb, so the reader has to mentally attach it to the verb, which hasn’t come yet.

A clearer statement would be this:

“He also complains of problems with his legs.”

No. Not always. I like pizza and hamburgers. However, if you place a second “I” in the second part, then the sentence can be reduced to two sentences. In this case, you need a comma. I like pizza, and I like hamburgers. I think this is what you were referring to.

Or a period. Depending where it’s placed. At the beginning of a sentence, a comma. At the end of a sentence, a period. I’m just being technical. Like for example, SC’s reply. he has a period at the end.
