I’d have to disagree with both “air” and “aura”, because those speak to how he is perceived by others, but the point of the sentence/sentences is how he perceives himself. I would suggest “Having great physical power made Hercules arrogant; he considered himself to be equal to the gods.”

I would use “Air of Arrogance” in colloquial terms.

If I was writing it, I would say

Having great physical power Hercules exuded arrogance; he considered himself to be equal to the gods.

Air is able to be understood as someones distinctive quality.

A distinctive quality in someones [somebody’s] appearance or manner.

For example: The Queen of England has an air of superiority about her.

Is would be the correct question. To avoid the problem, maybe the question should read: Does the World News come on at six or seven?
