connotation on basketball..?
i need to create a poem with at least one connotation. i have this so far…
A dream is a basketball soaring through the air.
A dream is a basketball bouncing up and down.
A dream is a piercing wind that blows harder and harder.
A dream is a refreshing warmth that made it to the hoop.
i am supposed to include 2 examples of imagery, 2 examples of figurative language, and one connotation. any tips on my current poem are appreciated and thanks in advance for the connotation!

On page 2 it lists a number of words whose most common definition (denotation) is one thing but basketball definition (connotation) is something else.
A couple that could relate to a basketball specifically (as opposed to the game of basketball) are dribble and shoot.
