If i remember this correctly, you can rearrange the letters a little different and make it unreadable.

found at: http://www.mrc-cbu.cam.ac.uk/~mattd/Cmabrigde/

According to a researcher (sic) at Cambridge University, it doesn’t matter in what order the letters in a word are, the only important thing is that the first and last letter be at the right place. The rest can be a total mess and you can still read it without problem. This is because the human mind does not read every letter by itself but the word as a whole.

It is supposed to be 55% of the people can do it!. you also made some mistakes, three letter words you leave alone, and you leave the first and last letter in it’s place.

This was a study done by Cambridge U, to show that the mind reads whole words, and not letters, that’s why I believe it;s more than 55% can read it..

THis doesn’t mean that spelling is not important….

“Olny 55 plepoe can,” is actually probably wrong.

It’s been proved in studies that people only use certain letters in words to identity the meaning of the word, while they are reading. Thus, your average person could read this.

I suppose if one knows English rather well, this theory works.

I would guess someone just starting to learn to read english, would be lost trying to read your paragraph.
