According to a researcher (sic) at Cambridge University, it doesn’t matter in what order the letters in a word are, the only important thing is that the first and last letter be at the right place. The rest can be a total mess and you can still read it without problem. This is because the human mind does not read every letter by itself but the word as a whole.

This was a study done by Cambridge U, to show that the mind reads whole words, and not letters, that’s why I believe it;s more than 55% can read it..

THis doesn’t mean that spelling is not important….

It’s been proved in studies that people only use certain letters in words to identity the meaning of the word, while they are reading. Thus, your average person could read this.

I have trouble with this text-speak the kids are using though – gives me a headache !

I would guess someone just starting to learn to read english, would be lost trying to read your paragraph.
