I rolled onto my side, reaching for the squawking alarm clock, but instead of hitting the snooze, my hand smacked hard against the table. I must be tired, I thought vaguely, if I can’t even hit the snooze button. I sat up and fumbled at the silver box, finally getting it turned off. Just as well get up, I told myself tiredly. I’m half way there, now. With a sigh, I heaved to my feet, but instead of lumbering off to the bathroom, I felt myself miss the first shuffling step, like the floor had tilted out from under me, and I fell to my knees, catching myself as I my left elbow and forearm hung up on the bed. I was suddenly having trouble focusing, and my head began to ache as the light from the window struck my face. A bitterness at the back of my throat warned me that I’d better get to the bathroom or I would be changing all the bedding. I clutched my stomach and struggled up to my feet again, steadying myself against the bedroom wall with my right shoulder. The floor was still moving underneath me, but I made it to the bathroom door….

As I attempted to rise from a prone position the room began to swirl around me, engulfing me in a sense of dizziness that I had never experienced before.

I sat up quickly to get out of bed, knowing I was late for school, suddenly the room started spinning, very slowly at first but speading up until I thought I was going to be sick.

I was weary from a busy night of dreaming and found myself like I was still rocking in a boat, and falling into the wavy, brisk water.

The blue comforter engulfed me, and i struggled to break free from it, i stood on wobbly legs, feeling my head spinning, as though a steam truck had rolled over it.

Aly shed light unto her lovely eyes as she roared and stretched tiredly, pondering the events the new day would bring.
