Can you help me w/the first sentence of a cover letter?
I always have trouble beginning a cover letter to send along with my resume. I have no trouble writing the rest of it. Can you suggest an attention-getting starting sentence?

I would think a positive and pro-active statement would draw he reader’s attention – two I could suggest:
I have the skills you are looking for in the advertised position.
I hope to be able to meet you to discuss my candidacy for the advertised position.
