A “Call Center” is a business that makes or receives quantities of telephone calls. Usually Call Centers are housed in a large room or building and employs people to place or receive calls. Ordinarily these people are solving people’s technical problems with the operation of electronics or software products. Others receive calls from customers responding to an offer they saw on TV or make calls to people for the sale of a product. With elections coming up a lot of call centers will be doing surveys about politics or encouraging people to vote in an election.
