Can anyone help me to find this british idiom?

Uh ive been trying to remember one of the idioms i heard. Its british english and means “to do something bad to someone or something unpleasent”/ ” to treat someone inappropriately”. Its S…. OFF someone.

might have L as its second letter( but im not sure about it) any suggestions are appreciable.

My first thought was the other kind of excretion.But it doesn’t have an L and it is used throughout the English-speaking world. “Slag” does not fit your description very closely; but it is probably the word you are looking for.
