Yale Law School?
I am applying to YLS. I am set to graduate from Uconn as a Poli Sci major with a 3.7. I have an impressive list of extra-extracurriculars including volunteer work in Costa Rica, playing guitar for 12 years, Pre-Law society, school newspaper, and college democrats. An LSAT of 169 (a little low I acknowlege). Chances?

I think you have a decent chance. Agonize over your personal statement and have other people read it to see if they think it’s convincing. Probably your grades are a bit low for Yale, and your LSAT is a touch below the mean. But it’s the toughest school in the country to get in. Who cares though – you’ll get in a number of very good schools with those stats. Apply to the other top fourteen or so schools and you’re golden! Or, get real smart and get the hell out of dodge and do something other than law school. It really sucks while you’re in it, and most of the jobs are incredibly boring.

Mediocre. Yale is the best law school in the country. If you have a killer interview then maybe. Look at Duke, Northwestern, UChicago, Loyola…. you probably stand a better chance there and they are well known too.
