The difference seems to be the type of courses you have to take. The B.A. requires foreign language, and the B.S. does not.
I’m not sure which one is better. What is better for you might not be for another. My advice is to talk to your advisor and decide which course of study is best for you.

My undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Arts in English. I felt I received a broader general education by taking a BA. I am surprised that a college would even offer a Bachelor of Science in English!
Bottom line – go for the BA

CAN you get a BS in English? I mean, at my school, the English major falls under the college of Arts and Sciences….but English is a liberal art, not a science. Your school offers a BS in liberal arts degrees? Lucky you; I’d like to get a BS in political science (it is called political SCIENCE) but noooo, it’s a liberal art, they said.

I honestly didn’t think you could get a BS in English.
I’d say BA though because it’s a lot more flexible, but it depends on what you’re planning to do with your English major. Talk to your counselor about it.
