When To See College Advisor?

I want to take courses during Christmas break. How many courses should I take? How many courses is too many? Lastly, when should I see my college advisor about scheduling courses? I’m a freshman at a community college.

Write an e-mail and tell your adviser you would like to meet with him/her and ask when would be a good time. Then go see them. Taking classes over Christmas break is not easy, I mean they go fast. You should only take classes you are good at or really enjoy. If you have a class you are not that good at then do it during the regular semester. Doing it over Christmas break or summer classes is not the time to do things you are not good at and or do not like. I would say not to take more than 2 classes. That will keep you busy enough. Good luck and talk to your adviser as soon as they can see you, do and ask to make an appointment. =)

She’s likely not interested. You’re going to be way too young for her anyway. There’s a big difference in what girls want at 20 and 29. A twenty year old girl wants a cool guy that goes to parties and stuff. A twenty-nine year old is looking for a professional adult with a really good job. If she’s not doing much talking other than when you ask her something then she’s not interested. I would bet money she’s not interested.

That depends how long your winter course is. Are you on a semester or quarter system? If you are on a quarter system, I recommend going full time. If you are on a semester system, then most likely the winter session is fairly short. I recommend one class, and a fairly easy on. I would wait to take science, math, or English courses.

Go see your advisor when you have these types of questions. They are there to help you in your progression to graduation. Use them!
