Whats the first step you take in becoming a Register Nurse?
I’m a high school graduate & I would like to become a R.N, Whats the first thing I need to do? Schools in my area states that i have to be already some form of nurse before I can enroll myself in a nursing program is that true?

Go volunteer at a hospital (preferable in the ER or a med/surg floor)and watch real RN’s in action to make sure that is what you really want to do ! You are gonna have to do some pretty nasty stuff and put up with a lot of shi* from doctors,patients, and family members of patients, so make sure before you sign on for 2 to 4 years of hard schooling……

you need to get accepted into a college that has a nursing program. You will have to take other college classes before you enter nursing school to get a BSRN
