Math, physics, chemistry, even physiology are all important to a pharmacist. Have a good understanding of chemical bonds and the nature of compounds (especially acid/bases, oxidative/reduction, and concentration gradients) helps build the foundations for pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics. As a pharmacist you will be expected to do a lot of memorization (although most pharmacists I know still use books such as facts and comparisons for deep questions). Not only will you need to know the nature of how the medication works, but also how it is excreted, and what interactions exist. Pharmacists also do quite a few calculations for dosing (especially IV and liquid preparations). Compounding is important in some pharmacies (although not very common place these days).

I am on my way to becoming a pharmacist. You should be very good at math and sciences as well as people skills. It is important to be able to successfully consult your patients in a polite and effective manner.

Sure you can, but it requires going back to school. Not only do you need to go to college, but to legally practice in the US then you need to go to pharmacy school to get your doctorate (PharmD). The good news is that there is an option to proceed to pharm school after only 2 years of college (shaving 2 years after the entire process, so it only will take 6 years and not 8). If it’s something you truly want to do, you’ll make it happen.
