What should I bring my things to college in?

Should I put all my junk into boxes or something? What did everyone else use?

One of the best inventions that I found useful when going to college was the clear storage containers. They come in a variety of sizes and shapes. Some were easily stored under the bed. The others stacked rather nicely in closets. Some had handles and made carrying things to and from the public showers very convenient.

What made them great was the fact that I could see through them. I never had to guess where something was or what was in the boxes – I automatically knew.

I purchased some from Target and others from the container store. I still use these type containers in my home and especially when I have to move.

Good luck in school.

I assume you’re moving into a dorm…

Boxes are fine. You can break them down once you’ve unpacked your stuff. Find out how the bathrooms/showers are situated in your dorm because if they are down the hall you will need a plastic bucket/basket to carry shampoo and stuff to and from the showers. Also buy a couple of extra bags for carrying clothes/etc.

When I went away for college, I only brought 3 things. They were:

1) Car

2) 1 pair of good clothes

3) Myself

Students these days bring their entire room with them. In fact, just before I entered college, I sold most of what I own. I live with the bare minimum. I do not live in excess and I think people shouldn;t either. Save our world! Too much trash is not good for our beautiful planet!

I used a trunk with a lock. They carry a lot of stuff and they stack well in a dorm room. I used mine as a table. I painted mine with designs for easy recognition. Have a good college year.

Don’t worry about what everybody else brings their stuff in. Use boxes, trash bags, whatever. Anything works.

Use suitcases for clothes and for other things you can use boxes, garbage bags or handbags…

Don’t bring a lot of things b/c you won’t need a lot of stuff, you just need the things you use everyday…
