For the third consecutive year, students at the University of East Anglia have placed UEA in the top five mainstream English universities for overall student satisfaction and for satisfaction with the teaching they receive.

89% of students said they were satisfied or very satisfied overall – the same high score as last year. In some subject areas this was even higher – rising to a 100% satisfaction rating for pharmacy.

“We are delighted that our students continue to express their satisfaction with UEA, placing us above the national average in every category, but we are not complacent,” said Prof Edward Acton, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Teaching and Learning.

“The results of the survey will help us to identify areas where there is room for improvement and we have put in place a formal structure for making sure that we address any issues that arise.”

Norwich is the “capital” of the East Anglia region and is set out beyond the Fens in the county of Norfolk. It’s a city hopelessly trapped in the past…as in the Middle Ages. But that’s a good thing. The most famous landmarks are the eleventh century Norman Castle, the brick Clock Tower at City Hall, and the imposing Cathedral with its towering spire. It’s also been said that Norwich contains more medieval churches than any place in England. The city is not without its modern touches, however. Norwich boasts a burgeoning high-tech industry. Still, the real treasures lie in uncovering the city’s ancient beginnings and living history.
