it is different between states and sometimes colleges however is is basicly:

A = 100-94; A- = 93-90; B+ = 89-87; B = 86-84; B- = 83-80; C+ = 79-77; C = 76-74; C- = 73-70; D+ = 69-67; D = 66-63; D- = 62-60; F= 59-0.

That’s at my school in Texas… however it is different w/ some teachers.

College is really done on a 4.0 scale… which is:

A = 4.0

B = 3.0

C = 2.0

D = 1.0

E or F = 0.0

With nearly 6500 post secondary schools it is hard to have a standard. As well, there is discussion of grade inflation, which means that faculty are grading easier and easier, and this is a fact of live, especially at highly selective colleges! The college catalogs say that C is average, but the real average grade is closer to a B at most colleges. Most campuses use a 4 point scale

A = 4

B + = 3.5

B = 3.0, etc

You must have a 2.0 or higher average to graduate, so while a D counts toward graduation, it hurts grade point average.
